Description: Design and construction supervision of offshore viaduct and embankment on existing and reclaimed land
Location: Cavite City, Philippines
Client: UEM-MARA Philippines Corporation
Type of Services: Detailed Design and Construction Supervision
Project Cost: 4 Billion Php
Date of Completion: Year 2008
The Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway Project shall continue the existing Coastal Road at Bacoor until Noveleta,Cavite. The expressway project proposes to undertake construction of an off shore viaduct and embankment on existing and reclaimed land. KE ASIA undertook a review of this concept to reduce the project cost, specifically the viaduct cost. The objectives were as follows:

-Span Length Reduction including lowering of some segment of the expressway
-Expressway Alternative Alignment
-Practical Construction Options
-Breakdown of Quantity Costs

The design involves the construction of a seven (7) kilometer offshore expressway along Bacoor Bay. The construction of the C-5 Extension is foreseen in this network. This expressway, as a whole, will contribute to major economic development because of the accessibility to existing economic zones at the province of Cavite and will lead to the full utilization of existing ports for better transport of people and goods.

The structures include a long bridge stretching 825 meters long crossing Imus River; and three (3) bridges (200m & 2-100m) situated along the stretch of the road reclamation were designed as well. The expressway extends from existing R-1 expressway to Kawit, Cavite wherein a toll plaza will be located.
