Fort Bonifacio - Kalayaan/EDSA Buendia Flyover
Description: Direct connection viaduct from Makati Central Business District to Fort Bonifacio
Location: Metro Manila, Philippines
Client: Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation (FBDC)
Type of Services: Detailed Design, Post Design
Project Cost: $ 28.8 Million
Date of Completion: October 1997
A direct connection along Kalayaan Ave. EDSA and Buendia (Sen. Gil Puyat Ave.) between Central Business Districts of Makati and Taguig. This aggressive concept was necessary for Fort Bonifacio’s continuity with the rest of Metro Manila. A new viaduct running along EDSA, directly integrated with the walls of the MRT-3 tunnel, providing a new direct connector along with additional connectors from EDSA, Buendia and Kalayaan. In keeping with “Fort Bonifacio's Global City” high quality approach, the Detailed Design included numerous roadway improvements and community enhancements to accompany the 1.3 kilometers viaduct including:

Viaduct - Reinforced Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Hollow Deck Slabs, approximately 15 meters long for a very sleek profile.

Car Park tunnel - Fort Bonifacio requested special access. After final design was submitted, designed a special ramp access, from the Viaduct, into one of Fort Bonifacio’s Park & Ride Perimeter Car Parks via tunnel.

Box Culvert - To improve the creek capacity crossing Kalayaan Ave., A 55m box culvert was incorporated replacing two existing bridges along this busy street.
