Conceptual Design of Expressway Interchange along Laguna De Bay

Muhibbah Engineering (Philippines) Corporation (MEC) intends to construct an embankment expressway in Laguna de Bay located immediately south of Metro Manila. The expressway is envisaged to connect the proposed C6 Expressway in Taguig with the existing South Luzon Expressway via an interchange in close proximity to Ayala Greenfield, Laguna. The off-shore roadway will be constructed roughly 300m from the lake western shoreline and will be closely parallel with the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx). This road project will also function as an embankment dike to alleviate worsening flooding conditions on nearby coastal areas. Likewise, the on-shore roadway is proposed to link with Los Banos, Laguna via access ramps on the intersecting National Highway (Laguna Provincial Road). It can be extended further to the Pan Philippine Highway at Tulo, Laguna, if warranted by future traffic demand. The proposed expressway will provide interchanges at Filinvest, Alabang and in Laguna at Sta. Rosa, Los Banos and Ayala Greenfield. The Sta. Rosa interchange is contemplated for expansion to accommodate a spur road leading to ETON SLEx interchange in anticipation to the proposed Cavite-Laguna (CALA) Expressway (Laguna section).
